Beach Bums

Mr. Mister and I woke up late. I wanted to try breakfast at a place new to us and he obliged. We made our way to Gypsea Crepes just before they stopped serving breakfast. I loved everything about it!!

Sadly I don’t have a photo of my savory breakfast crepe with ham, eggs, cheddar, spinach, green onion, tomato, and pesto. It was beautiful, so fresh, delicious, and I was so hungry! It was gone before I even thought about photos. These are the perfect beach food. No utensils needed, no plate. It’s wrapped up in a paper cone. If you are dining in, the crepe is served in a metal stand. If you are stepping out onto the beach you can grab your crepe in a cone and go or take it out in a paper box.

Thankfully, Mr. Mister was interested in getting a sweet crepe. Peanut butter, raspberries, and fresh whipped cream. We shared it and it was spectacular.

We left full and happy! After browsing Half Hitch, one of Mr. Mister’s must-stop shops, we wandered on the pier, ate a snack and flopped on the beach for the afternoon.

The beach with just Mr. Mister is fantastic! We watched other parents corral their young children and laughed because WE KNOW.

It was glorious. The water was calm enough for us enjoy bouncing around in the waves. There was even a small tide pool near us. We both remarked that it was too bad the kids weren’t here to enjoy it!

I finally couldn’t take it anymore. I called and left a message asking about an update on Grasshopper. John Latimer called back and let us know he was having a great time and was getting along well.

After we had our fill of salt air and people watching, we gathered our chairs, umbrella and bag. We cleaned up and had dinner at Dat Cajun Place. Since it was just the two of us we ate at the bar. Once back in our room we binge watched a couple of Game of Thrones episodes (yes, we are late to the party) and slept.

Someone should really promote this sleep thing. Sleep. It’s good!
